Daniel Spitalnic is a partner at Itkowitz & Harwood and is admitted to practice in New York State, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Daniel F. Spitalnic concentrates in:
- Commercial and residential landlord and tenant law, including Rent Stabilization issues, Yellowstone Injunctions, DHCR proceedings, rent strikes and appeals, self-help evictions, 7A and HP Proceedings, and appeals.
- Hotel and hospitality law in New York City.
- Commercial litigation, including breach of contract actions, construction claims and disputes, ejectment actions, lien law disputes, foreclosures, fraud actions, actions to rescind or to reform a lease, declaratory and injunctive relief, and Article 78 proceedings.
- Commercial real property transactions, including those involving shopping centers, apartment buildings, hotels, offices and development rights.
- Commercial and residential leasing, including in connection with shopping centers, "taxpayers", office buildings and residential apartment buildings; Mr. Spitalnic has negotiated major leases with nationally recognized retailers, financial services institutions and restaurant chains.
- Enforcement of money judgments.

Mr. Spitalnic has lectured on evictions and other landlord-tenant issues. He is licensed real estate broker and is certified as a real estate instructor by the New York State Department of State, Bureau of Education Standards. Mr. Spitalnic is a member of the Nassau County and the New York State Bar Associations. Mr. Spitalnic earned his B.A. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his J.D. at New York Law School in 2002.
Mr. Spitalnic divides his time between the New York City and Great Neck Offices.
